On Saturdays at JUMP, all Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior dancers (ages 7-21) that are registered for the full workshop will be participating in the JUMP VIP Scholarship Audition Class. Dancers must audition by their age as of January 1, 2012. ALL DANCERS MUST BE IN THEIR "AGE APPROPRIATE" ROOM FOR THE VIP AUDITION AS WELL AS THE PRECEDING AUDITION COMBO CLASS. During the forty-five minute class prior to the audition, students will learn a jazz or lyrical routine. During the audition, the dancers will be broken up into groups and the JUMP faculty will evaluate. Students will be chosen by the faculty in each of the following age groups: Mini (7-10), Junior (11-12), Teen (13-15) and Senior (16-21). The selected students will be announced at the end of the audition. These students will be the "JUMP VIPs"! The Teen & Senior VIPs will learn a special number for the Closing Show on Sunday. After the Teen & Senior JUMP VIPs' performance in the Closing Show, the winners and remaining runners-up in each age division will be announced. Male & Female JUMP VIPs will be judged and awarded separately. PLEASE NOTE: Dancers must attend ALL classes and wear their scholarship numbers for all of Saturday's and Sunday's classes.

Once you are a JUMP VIP Winner in one regional city, you are not eligible to be a JUMP VIP (Winner or Runner-up) or win a Class Scholarship in another city. However, all Teen & Senior Regional JUMP VIP Winners are invited to perform in the Closing Show with the VIPs again in any additional cities. VIP Runners-up may continue to audition in other cities to become a VIP Winner.

If you have previously won a National JUMP VIP title or Best Dancer title (not runner-up) at the JUMP National Finale or The Dance Awards, you are not allowed to audition to be a JUMP VIP again until you are in the next age division up. If you are the previous year's Finale Title Winner, you are invited to perform in the Teen & Senior Regional VIP routine for the Closing Show.
JUMP VIP Winners will receive:
$400 scholarship to a future Break The Floor Productions' Intensive within one year of issue.
One JUMP Tour Scholarship, to be used at any JUMP regional workshop during the 2012-2013 season.
One Workshop Scholarship to The 2012 Dance Awards.
Eligibility to compete to be the 2012 Best Dancer at The Dance Awards in NYC July 4-11.
JUMP VIP Runners-Up will receive:
$250 scholarship to a future Break The Floor Productions' Intensive within one year of issue.
One Workshop Scholarship to The 2012 Dance Awards.
Eligibility to compete to be the 2012 Best Dancer at The Dance Awards in NYC July 4-11.
In every regional city, each faculty member will be awarding scholarships in each of their individual classes to dancers that excel at their particular style. This will give students the opportunity to receive scholarships in all disciplines of dance: tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, ballet, etc. Class Scholarships can be awarded to any dancer, of any age, in any workshop level. The number of scholarship winners may vary depending on convention size and skill level. Dancers are eligible for only one class scholarship per season. One day students are not eligible for Class Scholarships.
All Class Scholarship recipients receive:
$250 scholarship to a future Break The Floor Productions' Intensive within one year of issue.
IMPORTANT: Winning a Class Scholarship does not make a dancer eligible to compete to be the 2012 Best Dancer at The Dance Awards. However, a Class Scholarship Winner may still audition in other cities to become a Regional VIP, thereby making them eligible to compete at the 2012 Dance Awards.
Each studio that brings 10 or more paying dancers to the workshop will receive a JUMP Studio Scholarship, which was started as a tool for studio owners to help their dancers connect the convention experience with their studio experience. The Studio Scholarship allows one dancer from each studio to come back to one JUMP workshop during the 2012-2013 regional season, free of charge!
All ages are as of January 1, 2012.

All scholarships must be used before the expiration date printed on the scholarship voucher. VIP and/or Class Scholarships cannot be extended. NO EXCEPTIONS.

One day students are not eligible for any scholarships (VIP or Class).

The Dance Awards Workshop Scholarships may be used for the 2012 Dance Awards ONLY.

If you have previously won a National JUMP VIP title or Best Dancer title (not runner-up) at the JUMP National Finale or Dance Awards, you are not allowed to audition to be a VIP again until you are in the next age division up.

Once you are a JUMP VIP Winner in one regional city, you are not eligible to be a JUMP VIP Winner in another city. JUMP VIP Runners-up may continue to audition in other cities to become a JUMP VIP Winner.

Dancers' scholarship numbers are generated for each specific age division, with all ages being as of January 1, 2012. Please verify your JUMP registration confirmation to ensure that the correct birthdate is on file and that dancers receive an age-appropriate scholarship number.

Teachers may register dancers for whichever workshop level they feel the dancer will benefit from the most. However, ALL dancers MUST be in the age-appropriate room during the VIP Audition Combo Class as well as the actual VIP Audition. Any dancers auditioning with the wrong workshop level will not be eligible for any VIP scholarships.

When a dancer wins a scholarship with one studio, he/she cannot utilize the scholarship as an "independent" or with another studio, without the signature of the original studio owner.

Scholarships are not transferable. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Dancers may only receive one Class Scholarship per season.

Dancers ages 22+ are not eligible for any scholarships (VIP or Class).
