Break The Floor Productions, LLC is one of the world's preeminent dance entertainment companies, encompassing touring theatrical productions, dance workshops, photo and video production, corporate events and apparel. With a broad range of business prospects and a reach of over 100,000+ dancers annually, Break The Floor Productions is largely responsible for transformation of dance entertainment.

Gil & the cast of Break The Floor

Break The Floor Productions was formed in 1999 by Gil Stroming with the rock-tap triumph, Break The Floor. After two successful events, Gil collaborated with world-renowned choreographer Mia Michaels on a contemporary jazz event called Mia Live: The Work of Mia Michaels. Up next was a Hip-Hop and Jazz workshop, Shake The Floor, with choreographer Dan Karaty.

In 2003, Gil parlayed the success of these events into a nationwide touring production, JUMP. JUMP combined America's best choreographers with a rock band, live singers, live video crew and multimedia set second to none. JUMP took off quickly, touring the country and garnering a loyal following quicker than any other dance convention had done in history. With a commitment to constant creativity and growth, JUMP boasts sold out shows on Broadway at The Hudson Theater, world-renowned rock n' roll venue, Hammerstein Ballroom, and most recently the six thousand-seat Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

After the success of JUMP, Break The Floor Productions collaborated with choreographer Dee Caspary on The Shoot. The first event of its kind, The Shoot was a pure dance music video shot on location at Universal Studios in Hollywood. The summer of 2004 brought the announcement of Break The Floor Production's partnership with the Duke Ellington Orchestra. These internationally recognized musicians would be the key component to a new tap show called SLIDE choreographed by tap star Mike Minery. SLIDE has since been showcased in many off-Broadway theaters including The Supper Club, New World Stages and The Variety Arts Theater.

Most recently, Break The Floor Productions launched JUMP's sister touring event, BOUNCE - The Alternative Competition, and The Nick and Mandy Show, with Nick Lazzarini and Mandy Moore.

The future of Break The Floor Productions is limitless. Already in the works are a magazine, an urban-athletic clothing line and a series of dance instructional videos. Gil and the Break The Floor team, as from the start, remain dedicated to forging the way for creative and unique dance entertainment.
